At the beginning of the 21st Century monsters still roam the remote, and sometimes not so remote, corners of our planet. It is our job to search for them. The Centre for Fortean Zoology [CFZ] is - we believe - the largest professional, scientific and full-time organisation in the world dedicated to cryptozoology - the study of unknown animals. Since 1992 the CFZ has carried out an unparalleled programme of research and investigation all over the world. Since 2009 we have been running the increasingly popular CFZ Blog Network, and although there has been an American branch of the CFZ for over ten years now, it is only now that it has a dedicated blog.

A new volume on the subject of fairies.  This asks the frequently posed question, 'Do they really exist?'  It gives an account of  the Fairies (including Goblins, Gnomes,Wee Folk and sundry other beings in Europe, North America and elsewhere, their lore and history, but also an investigation into their very existence.  This is conducted in amassed accounts by a large number of witnesses and of encounters, from the Middle Ages to modern times and speculation into how they might exist  within a scientific framework, despite the fact that consensual reality tends to scorn them.  It deals with conventional ideas of fairies,  diminutive beings, mermaids, fairy animals, fairy clothing and artefacts, fauns, beings said to dwell in the waters and creatures of a monstrous nature.  It also contains a list with information of named beings in fairy lore.

This is a vastly informative work and, yes, I wrote it.  Now is the time to dig into your wallet, credit card and piggy bank to purchase a copy from Amazon or anywhere else that's selling it.
