An interesting creature reported from Canada. It has the form of a white horse, seen from time to time. The story behind it is that it was acquired by a Cree in Mexico. He brought it back to Canada. He wished to marry the daughter of a chief of the Assiniboine, who was quite willing to exchange her for the horse. He wed the girl but an angry Sioux, who had had similar ambitions, killed them both, but he could never catch the horse. Even today, sightings of the horse are reported after nightfall on the White Horse Plains of Manitoba.
