2010: While playing on a swing set, an unidentified resident
of Hawkins County, Tennessee, allegedly sees "a large hairy [creature] about 7 to 8 feet tall standing on its hind
legs almost like a human," also "wailing like a human with a very low
voice." No other description of the incident survives, beyond the fact
that it occurred around 11:30 (presumably a.m.) and that no bears had ever been
reported in the area. Two years later, in June 2012, the witness reports
his/her encounter to the GCBRO's website.
