On This Day in Weird, December 17...
1956: While walking around her home at night with a
flashlight, Marie Carow of Conashaugh, Pennsylvania—described today on
Wikipedia as a "ghost town" in Pike County—claimed a sighting of two
"little men" betwee 3 and 3.5 feet tall, standing motionless in her
backyard. Both wore helmets and snig-fitting suits apparently made of silvery
metal fabric. She describes them as having "fair" complexions, one
stocky, the other slender. By the time she calls her husband from the house,
the intruders are gone.
