On This Day in Weird, April 15…
Income tax filing day in the USA. And speaking of disasters...
1912: The "unsinkable" RMS Titanic goes sinks with more than 1500 crew and passengers aboard,
in the North Atlantic. While ostensible damaged by an iceberg, the great ship
had also set sail from the UK with fires burning in its coal bunkers, fully
acknowledged by its captain, but with the information suppressed.
