At the beginning of the 21st Century monsters still roam the remote, and sometimes not so remote, corners of our planet. It is our job to search for them. The Centre for Fortean Zoology [CFZ] is - we believe - the largest professional, scientific and full-time organisation in the world dedicated to cryptozoology - the study of unknown animals. Since 1992 the CFZ has carried out an unparalleled programme of research and investigation all over the world. Since 2009 we have been running the increasingly popular CFZ Blog Network, and although there has been an American branch of the CFZ for over ten years now, it is only now that it has a dedicated blog.

WHAT AM I LIKE?

There may be some pensive souls out there who wonder what I am like.  Not what I look like - there is a photograph of me in languid mood at the front of this blog.  No, it's what am I like in person?

Now, it so happens an in-depth personal assessment of me was made when I was at work.  I was handed a piece of paper with the words Tick the right boxes and you can find out which cartoon character you most resemble.  I immediately applied myself to the questionnaire.  I rather thought I'd come out as Brain out of Pinky and the Brain, due to my incisive intellect.  However, when my score was calculated, I was told that I most resembled Sponge Bob Square Pants.  Oh, well, I suppose it could have been Barney Gumble.
