60th ANNIVERSARY OF MONSTER SIGHTING
It's the 60th anniversary of the 6th sighting of the Grafton Monster.
The Grafton Monster seems to have been a humanoid without a head. I might suggest because it held its head beneath the level of its shoulders, thereby obscuring it.
GRENDEL
Grendel is the monster in the Anglo-Saxon poem Beowulf which has attained a great deal of fame. There has been much debate regarding whethre he is a wildman (Bigfoot type) or human gone feral. Unfortunately, there is now reference in the poem to what exactly Grendel is. It is said in the reign of Hrothgar, a semi-legendary Danish king. Beowulf defeats the creature and subsequently his mother.
The question of whether the poem is based on an historical incident cannot be resolved. If Beowulf lived, he flourished around the 5th/6th Century. Hrothgar is also possibly historical. If there is truth in the piece, it might indicate that Grendel was one of a species of humanoid that once throve in Europe.

TEYU -YAGUE
This giant lizard of Argentine folklore has a head like a dog's, or, according to another belief, has no less than seven heads, all of which resemble dogs. It lives in deep water and a luncheon of human content is to its taste. Human sacrifice is said to make you immune to its attention.

RUBEZAHL - WOODWOSE OF EUROPE
There are sundry tales about him. Some people believe he was the inspiration for Tolkien's Gandalf.
