THE WOG AND NODOROC

An account of the Wog, a legendary animal of Georgia, and the mud volcano Nodoroc, to which it was stated doomed prisoners were consigned.  The article is lengthy and detailed.

I had heard of the Wog before reading this article.  It was a beast of unknown nature which was said to be found in the vicinity of Winder (Georgia) about 1800.  When it walked it seemed to incline sideways, first to the right, then to the left.  Its tail was large, with a bunch of white hair on the end of it.  It never seemed to close its mouth.
