IS THIS AN INDOLENT SHARK?
The Ground Shark is an interesting cryptid. Most sharks pursue their prey. You can see them darting through the water - the dangerous ones, that is. Not so the Ground Shark which, according to local lore, is found in the sea between Timor and Australia. It is said to be larger than a Great White Shark and another distinguishing feature is its small dorsal fin. It gets its name from the fact that it does not chase its victims but simply waits on the sea bed for them to turn up. Then (unless they are sufficiently lithe and limber) it gets them. Supper is served.
