On This Day in Weird, October 3...
1954: A busy day for UFOs and bicyclists in France. First,
witness Angelo Girardo is riding near Bressuire, in the Deux-Sèvres department,
when he sees a "10-foot disc" on the ground. A humanoid being stands
beside it, then enters the craft and takes off as Girardo approaches. Later, at
6:45 p.m., cyclists Rene Coudette and Bernard Devoisin encounter a domed disc
glowing orange on the road at Ligescourt, in Picardy. Near the grounded UFO
they see a child-sized entity wearing a "diver's suit," who enters
the craft before it takes flight.
