On This Day in Weird, June 8...
2001: A team of Bigfoot researchers in St. Clair County,
Alabama, reportedly gets lucky when one member of their party sees "a huge black creature in the shadows" of
some nearby trees, while crossing a hayfield. Unfortunately, other members of
the group see nothing and the lone witness is "so scared and excited"
that he cannot snap a photo with the camera he's carrying. In retrospect he
claims the creature was 7.5 to 8.5 feet tall, covered in dark hair. No residual
evidence is reported.
