1968: After two months of fruitless searching by the FBI,
British police capture James Earl Ray, alleged assassin of Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr., at London's Heathrow Airport. Despite a dodgy "confession"
in March 1969, Ray maintains his role as a "patsy" in a murder
conspiracy—supported by Alabama author William Bradford Huie among others.
