Many of us have in our minds a fairly stereoty[icalakes which image of a lake monster. However, other things are said to be found in do not conform to such an image.
Take, for example, Loch Garten in Scotland. This was said to house a creature that looked like a cross between a large bull and a large stallion. It was said to emerge from the lake at night. It would devour children and lambs.
