At the beginning of the 21st Century monsters still roam the remote, and sometimes not so remote, corners of our planet. It is our job to search for them. The Centre for Fortean Zoology [CFZ] is - we believe - the largest professional, scientific and full-time organisation in the world dedicated to cryptozoology - the study of unknown animals. Since 1992 the CFZ has carried out an unparalleled programme of research and investigation all over the world. Since 2009 we have been running the increasingly popular CFZ Blog Network, and although there has been an American branch of the CFZ for over ten years now, it is only now that it has a dedicated blog.

THE WOG - OBSCURE CRYPTID

The writer had never heard of it.  It seems to be a kind of canid with a pig's face.  Any further information welcome.

Do not confuse its name with the racist term used in Britain or with the term for a microbe used in Australia.

now read on.....

Further wog information:  It was rumored to be found in the region of Jug Tavern (now Winder, Georgia) about 1800.  Its head was like a bear's and was colored black.  It was nearly the size of a horse.  Its mouth never seemed to close over its large white teeth.  There was some white hair on the end of its tail.  When it walked it seemed to incline sideways.
