1976: While wandering about with a new pellet gun, an
8-year-old resident of Crawford County, Pennsylvania, claims a Bigfoot sighting
roughly one mile from his rural home, outside the town of Cambridge Springs,
population around 2,000 at the time. He describes the creature as "around
8 feet, very dark in color, covered in fur and very curious as to what I was
doing." Frightened, the boy drops his gun and runs home. His parents find
no trace of the Sasquatch, and the witness does not report the incident to the
BFRO's website until May 1997.
