2000: Occupants of a home in Columbia, Missouri, report a
"high-pitched screaming" between 2:30 and 3:00 a.m. Next,
motion-activated security lights in the backyard come on, and one witness sees
an unfamiliar animal climbing a nearby retaining wall. She described it as
about 4.5 feet tall (the same height as the wall), covered with dark hair, and
having a "rather broad body and
what looked like a black tail rather short." An acquaintance reports the
event to GCBRO as a possible Bigfoot sighting.
