2004: Father-son residents of Santa Cruz County, California,
report hearing a sound that sounded
like a four-legged animal running in the neighbor's yard" around 7:30 p.m.
Grabbing a flashlight, they allegedly see "the silhouette of an almost
seven-foot-tall animal standing on two legs with a posture almost human but not
as slender of a body" from 10 feet away, before it flees, leaving the boy
in tears.
