How many budding cryptozoologists were inspired by reading comics like that one? Comics and novels such as those may have first stimulated an interest in mysterious creatures in equally mysterious jungles. Although they were dismissed as trash a the time of publication, if they were the kindling that ignited the interest of readers in prehistoric or allegedly prehistoric animals, they were not without value.
