TEYU YAGWE

A giant lizard of Argentine folklore.  Its head is like a dog's or, according to another belief, it has no less than seven doglike heads.  It lives in deep water and meals of human content are to its taste.  People used to make human sacrifices to assure their safety.  The name of this creature has the alternative spelling of Teju-jagua.
