SUEZ SEA SERPENT
In 1879 an unusual sea serpent was espied in the Gulf of Suez from the ship Philomel. It was black on the upper parts, but the lower jaw was gray, giving way to salmon pink. It had a dorsal fin. The spread of its jaws was 20 feet.
