MUD LAKE MONSTER

Here's a mystery animal that ws found in Mud Lake (Arkansas) in 1897.  It made a whictling noise.  The question that arose was what it actually was.  Eventually harpooned, it was dragged out of the water.  However, even then it could not be identified.  It was the weight of an ox.
