On This Day in Weird, August 20...
1977: Army Staff Sergeant Fred Wilson and two companions
report seeing a Sasquatch 15½ feet tall in Montana's Belt Creek Canyon around
2:00 a.m. They describe it as standing upright, covered with tan hair, and
having "no neck." After firing shots to no effect, the witnesses flee
the scene. The Great Falls Tribune reports their story later the same
day.
