1977: While traveling along U.S. Route 27 in Clare County,
Michigan—erroneously called "Glare" County in some published sources—witnesses
Nicholas Zurawic and Abby Matthews report seeing three hairy bipedal creatures,
each about seven feet tall, run across the highway in front of their car. They
estimate the Sasquatches' weight at 300 to 500 pounds each and describe then
moving with "big strides."
