1971: While driving on U.S. Route 71 near Fouke, Arkansas, D.
C. Woods Jr., R. H. Sedgass and their wives report a Bigfoot six to seven feet
tall, running across the highway in front of their car. Published reports also
refer to unidentified "other drivers" seeing the creature, popularly
known as the "Fouke Monster" or "The Beast of Boggy Creek."
