1925: Roy P. Mackal born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As an
adult, Mackal served as a professor of biology at the University of Chicago and
as a founding board member of the International Society of Cryptozoology. His
books in the crypto field include The Monsters of Loch Ness (1976), Searching
for Hidden Animals (1980), and A Living Dinosaur? In Search of
Mokele-Mbembe (1987).
2013: U.S. premier of the documentary film American
Sasquatch Hunters: Bigfoot in America.
