The ebo gogo are not the only race of diminutive beings on the island of Flores, Indonesia, according to legend. In the vicinity of Pona and Rawe they believe in the anu ula, a race of about 1 meter high. They are now possibly extinct, but lived in a cave and were destroyed by the local humans, according to legend. They were better behaved than the ebu gogo.
