Charles Mill Lake near Mansfield (Ohio) was the scene of a rather frightening episode in 1959. Three witnesses claimed to have seen a hominid with green eyes and apparently no arms emerge from the water. It left flipper-like footprints. It was reported again in 1963, when it was said to be luminous.
