A startling creature observed by diver Bob Wall in 1959. He had dived into the sea off Miami Beach (Florida). Noticing a cave, he peered in to see if it contained anything worth looking at. He saw a body 5 foot 6 inches long in the shape of a cylinder supported on eight hairy legs, each 3 feet long. It had a pointed head and large eyes on stalks. It advanced upon its human visitor, who beat a hasty retreat.
