ONE-EYED MONSTER

A strange and large monster seen off the American coast.  A Captain Neil described it in 1834.   He said the part of its head above the water measured about 12'.  I presumed this also included the neck, unless it was a wholly serpentine creature.  Captain Neil was not the only one to describe this creature.
