EFFINGHAM INLET CARCASS

The Effingham Inlet Carcass washed up on Vancouver Island in 1947.  Its head was the size of a sheep's, its spine 40 feet or more.  It had no teeth.  Its vertebrae were not consistent in number with those of a basking shark.  One source tried to identify it with a cadborosaurus.
