CURIOUS IRISH ANIMAL

In 1924 the Freeman's Journal reported a curious animal in a field near the town of Muine Bheag (then called Bagnalstown) in Carlow, Ireland.  It was supposed to look like half a sheep and half a deer.  Unfortunately, the report does not say which half looked like which.  It shared its field with a donkey, with which it seemed on amicable terms.
