THE EXTRAORDINARY HISTORY OF ATHANASIUS KIRCHER

Did he actually make a talking head?  He certainly theorized that microbes caused disease.  He wrote a book on the animals on Noah's Ark.  He also wrote about dragons, which he believed existed under the earth.  He is often referred to as a polymath, that is, one who knows about everything.
