Ye Editor has been perusing The Soviet Sasquatch, the recent CFZ publication of MSS. left by Boris Porshnev. It contains a fascinating account from before World War I of an apparently feral man in China.
He lived with a Chinese hunter called Fu-Tsai in Manchuria, who claimed to have found him in a wolf den. His name was Len-Zhen and Fu-Tsai claimed he was his nephew who had been carried off by a wolf when thrown over a fence - an account which Porshnev dismisses.
Len-Zhen ate his food raw - birds, animals, squirrels and grouse - and only dwelt with his alleged uncle by day. By night he would fare into the forest with the wolves and whatever he did there was anyone's guess.
You can order The Soviet Sasquatch through the usual outlets.
