If you visit West's Lake on Nelson Island in British Columbia, keep a lookout for the Shellican. Long known in First Nations folklore, it was apparently seen twice by one John West. He said the head was calf-sized and the face reminded him of a monkey. The cheeks were yellow. About 6' of the back were visible.
