K. McCoy's book White Things (2008) mentions an encounter by a driver in West Virginia. It was after nightfall and he came in contact with a creature with long, thick white hair. It was jumping in the air, spinning and landing. Then it made off into the bush. A minute or so later, it emerged and attacked the driver, who had disembarked from his car. Its hair was standing out. The driver jumped into his car, at which the creature threw gravel. The driver then sounded his horn. The creature fell over, shouted and ran off on all fours.
This is surely a very curious encounter.
