WHAT IS THE DILALI?

This is a cryptid reported from Cameroon.  The Youlou, who live in the mountains, say it is a dry land creature.  Elsewhere it is thought of as water-dwelling.  It is said to have a lion's claws and a horse's body.  Tusks have also been mentioned.  Although the animal is known from hearsay, I can find no recorded sightings.  It is also reported from Chad and the Central African Republic.  Not all reports may refer to the same creature.  With the evidence to hand, one can only make guesses at its nature.
