GALVESTON SEA SERPENT

This ugly looking beast with a horn, fins and a long tail tapering to a point was seen by the crew of the Saint Olaf in 1872.  It appeared to be pursuing sharks.  The head was serpentine.  Below this was a 70' long body of uniform thickness.  It had four dorsal fins.  The back was greenish with brown spots, the underparts white.
