Editorial note: The verb to thrive has two Past Tenses.  It is both a Strong and a Weak verb.  Therefore you can say either throve or thrived.  This computer doesn't seem to recognize throve, but that doesn't mean it does not exist.

Keeping on with grammatical trivia, have you ever noticed that blond(e) seems to be the only adjective in English whose gender agrees with the noun it qualifies?  If it qualifies a masculine noun you spell it blond, if a feminine noun you spell it blonde.  For a neuter or common noun you can spell it whatever way you like.
