1976: While hunting, two servicemen stationed at Hunter Army Airfield, near Savannah, Georgia, claim a Bigfoot
encounter on Little Tybee Island, off the coast of Chatham County. After
hearing a sounds of "a two legged creature walking toward our tent from
the rear," some heavy hurled object strikes the tent, then the men briefly
glimpse "something very dark colored and man sized" running away.
They pursue it through darkness but never catch up.
