ON THIS DAY IN WEIRD

On This Day in Weird, October 11...

1973: Fishermen Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker claim they were abducted by aliens at Pascagoula, Mississippi, held "conscious but paralyzed" aboard a UFO and subjected to examinations before their eventual release. Hickson later passes a controversial polygraph test. Professional debunker Joe Nickell calls that Hickson's behavior was "questionable" and claims he embellished his story on later television shows, blaming the original incident on a fantasy during a "waking dream state."
