1977: Television presenter and paranormal investigator
Joshua Gates is born in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts. His TV programs
include Destination Truth (SyFy, 2007-14), which usually featured
"monsters" or ghosts, and Expedition Unknown (Travel Channel,
2015-?), exploring distant and "mysterious" locales. Simon
& Schuster published his book Destination Truth: Memoirs of a Monster
Hunter in 2011. Gates married Destination Truth co-star Hallie
Gnatovich in September 2014.
