ON THIS DAY IN WEIRD

On This Day in Weird, July 4...

2012: An anonymous photographer, clearly airborne, allegedly captures footage of "the world's largest snake" swimming in a section of the Amazon River where it flows through Tocantins ("toucan's beak" in English), the newest of Brazil's 26 states, created in 1988. Some estimates of the alleged reptile's length exceed 75 feet. Critics universally regard it as a creation of trick photography. Most copies of the video have since disappeared from the Web, but one still remained as of this date at http://vid.blogspot.website/Download/lkdFDKk8YWk/The-Biggest-Snake-In-The-World
