1969: California's Oroville Mercury-Register
newspaper reports a recent Bigfoot sighting by teenager Lester Orlinger and two
girls. They claim to have seen Bigfoot crouching on the pavement of a road near
Twain, in Plumas County (population 82 in 2010). Orlinger swerved his car to
avoid striking it and drives on.
