1970: Several unnamed men allegedly saw a dark-colored
Sasquatch watching them from atop a dike near a swimming hole outside Yakima,
Washington. Unaccountably armed, they claim to have fired multiple shots at the
creature, then fled the area when it remained in place without moving.
