ON THIS DAY IN WEIRD

On This Day in Weird, 1972...

1972: Teenager Doris Harrison and her two younger brothers reported a daylight sighting of a black Sasquatch, six to seven feet tall, standing beside a tree on Allen Street in Louisiana, Missouri. It allegedly carried some object, described in some accounts as "a bleeding black dog." The supposed sighting revives fears of "Momo"—the "Missouri Monster"—sighted for the first time, near the same town, a year earlier. Reported encounters continue through August 2003.
