1970: While going to draw water from his well in Butte Creek
Canyon, near Chico, California, witness Clifford Brush claims a Sasquatch
snarled at him and waved its arms. He responds by shooting it four times with a
.22-caliber rifle, after which it retreats, understandably "making sounds
of pain."
