A Facebook entry (to which a link is provided below) maintains there is on the Peru-Ecuador border, a race of Giants, apparently distinct from Homo sapiens, called the Huiñatre. Some commentators have suggested they are the Huaorani, a known tribe of Indians, but the writer denies this.
