CENAPRUGWIRION

A mysterious creature resmbling a lizard, reported from the Abersoch area of North Wales.  It is said to be a foot long and to live in burrows.  Cryptozoologist Karl Shuker has suggested that someone might have released some tuataras (Sphenodon) in the area.  You pronounce the word kenaprigwirion.  The variant Genaprugwirion ia also found.

These creatures are native to New Zealand.  They are strange enough looking and distinguished by an extra eye on the tops of their heads.  Despite a lacertine appearance, they are in fact members of a different order, that of Rhynchocephalia.  I remember seeing one in the Dublin Zoo.  A strange beast.
