BLUE BELL HILL
There has been another sighting of a Big cat at Blue Bell Hill in Kent, England, we are informed by Neil Arnold. Blue Bell Hill has had big cat sightings reported since the 16th Century.

MYSTERY OF THE RED CAT
Here's a little mystery from English folklore. There must have been a Red Cat of singular notoreity or legend in the north of England. He is commemorated in sculpture and place-names, but what he did to earn fame we do not know, for the folklore about him has died unrecorded.
The Red Cat has been sculpted as a capital in the chapel at Brimstage Hall. This was built in 1376. There is a Red Cat pub in Crank and there was another in the village of Brimstage itself, but it was destroyed before World War II. There is a Red Cat Lane in Burscough and a Red Cat Hill in Harrogate. The story of this Red Cat is, however, lost in the mists of time.
However, to keep the name at least in circulation, a modern Red Cat Inn has been built in Greasby.

footprint" in Missoula County, Montana, on the Flathead River, six miles west
of Parma. According to the witness, "It was made by something with a very

reports the story of 19-year-old witness Rim McDonald, claiming that a
7-foot-tall Bigfoot rose from tall grass in front of her and fled, running

On This Day in Weird, March 29...
2007: Residents of rural Simpson County, Kentucky, report
finding "a large, white, hairy,
clawed, and horned type gorilla" with "four large fangs" asleep
in their backyard at 1:30 a.m., snoring loudly. They further report that other
local farmers have heard "horses and donkeys being taken down and ripped apart
and screaming," while their own dog has several times "come home
bloody" after chasing the source of loud screeching sounds in the nearby
woods.

2015: A resident of Rutherford County, North Carolina, hears
"something hard to describe"
from the front porch of his rural home, later going online and reporting to the
GCBRO that the sounds matched alleged Bigfoot vocalization recordings posted on
YouTube. In the same report, the unnamed ear-witness claims other "loud
screeches" and similar sounds spanning the past two weeks.

On This Day in Weird, March 24...
1975: Witnesses Michael Bennett and Lawrence Groom allegedly
see a Bigfoot eight to nine feet tall, rocking a car beside the Goulds Canal at
Black Point, in Dade County Florida. Inside the car, they claim its lone male
occupant is screaming hysterically. Bennett and Groom report the incident to
police, who file a report but find no evidence.

On This Day in Weird, March 23...
1998: Tennessee Bigfoot researcher Mary Green, with her son
and a third party, heard "three
distinctive and quite heavy thudding sounds like footsteps" in the forest
at an undisclosed area where previous Sasquatch reports had been filed. Searching
further, they found and photographed a freshly killed calf weighing estimated 175
to 200 pounds, lying with its stomach ripped open. Photos of the mutilated

Green, a controversial Sasquatch tracker, author, and alleged "habituator,"
sadly died in Tennessee on March 17, 2016, at age 72.

On This Day in Weird, March 22...
1976: While on patrol in Mill Valley, California, police
officers Edward Johnson and Dan Murphy heard growling and screeching sounds
from some roadside brush. Using flashights, they reportedly saw a "large,
dark-colored thing" walking upright and scrambling over and
eight-foot-high wall to escape. The next morning, as reported in the Los
Angeles Times, a dead deer was found at the same location.
