On This Day in Weird, January 5...
2010: Two deer hunters in Fulton County, Illinois, note a
series of strange sounds, including wood-knocking "from three different
directions," a sound like "screech owls," and growling "almost
so low that the ground shook," terrifying horses in a nearby field. Six
days later, near the same location, they find a single humanoid footprint 21
inches long, 4 inches wide at heel, and 7 inches wide at the toes. One reports
those incidents to the BFRO on January 13.
